Blog #9- "The Angels Have Landed"
source: http://vsallaccess.victoriassecret.com/fashionshow/
As some of the men in your life may already know, the Victoria's Secret Fashion show is among us. The annual show, which takes place in New York City, never fails to disappoint. The show is so over the top and extravagant that you may even find it hard to believe that they call it
just a fashion show. Even the models themselves say that the show can be compared to a theatrical event. This year the show will also feature artists such as Katy Perry and Akon. Below is the link to the VS website where you can take a look at the trailer for the show. To see the full show, and the $2 million bra, tune in on Tuesday November 30, 2010 at 10/9C.

Blog #8- In With The New
source: Google Images
For Milan fashion this past September, things were changed up a little bit. According to English.news.cn, "Milan's fashion week has changed its format to welcome international visitors in some of its historic buildings and celebrate not only fashion but also culture and art". The new format will allow onlookers to watch the fashion shows live from a television screen placed outside the buildings. Visitors will be able to easily walk or bike nearby from one location to another, to enjoy a fashion week in real Italian style. Journalists will also be able to take advantage of the new free-bike sharing allowing them to get coverage of multiple shows during the day. Maybe change isnt such a bad thing after all!

Blog #5- Dijon, and Gold, and Mustard, Oh My!
source: Fashion Snoops
In my last blog I wrote about how Yellow will be a key color for fall 2011. As we all know there is not just one type of yellow. There are many shades of yellow, making each of them very different from the next. In the color story shown above, Fashion Snoops shows the evolution from spring 2011 for fall 2011 by a deeper shade of yellow. This shade of yellow is a mustard yellow which is very appropriate for the autumn weather. When I see this color I automatically think of the changing of the leaves as the fall months begin. Yellow has been making more and more of an appearance in this current season and you can count on seeing it next fall as well.

Blog #4- Fall 2011 Color Trend: Not So Mellow Yellow
source: Google Images
Fall 2011 is all about colors that pop. Warm, vibrant colors set the mood for the change from summer into autumn. The key color that stands out to me most in this mix is yellow. Although my choice here may be a result of favoritism, yellow has become a color trend recently and is predicted to be next fall as well. When wearing the color yellow you are bound to be noticed. If you're not feeling a bright yellow piece of clothing, substituting for yellow accessories will make your outfit pop just as much. Many people don't seem to wear yellow in the fall/winter months but recently I have seen the color everywhere. Whenever I wear something yellow I notice a positive change in my mood, so why not wear yellow?

Blog #3- From NYC Streets: Denim Galore
Photo from refinery29.com
Start putting away your sundresses and shorts- fall is almost here. Wardrobes are starting to change with the season and recently I've noticed that more and more people are wearing denim. Denim jackets, denim button down shirts, and of course denim jeans. The denim trend has easily shifted from spring to summer to fall. The new styles and washes are making denim more versatile than ever. Just walking around campus today I saw many people sporting this trend. Even I was wearing a denim jacket. Denim is always makes your look casual cool. Wear a denim jacket over your favorite sundress from this summer to get a little more use out of it. I personally love the denim trend and will be keeping up with it this season, and from the looks of it, many other people will be too.
